Project Design & Planning
EverGreene works with clients to conceptualize new projects or to enhance existing ones. Together, we identify goals, target/priority populations, perceptions and/or behaviors to modify, cultural determinants that shape those perceptions and behaviors, and the activities and products designed to impact them. Project designs include plans for appropriate monitoring and evaluation.
EverGreene brings extensive expertise in creating effective programs and for applying research to practice. Projects are tailored to serve local needs, designed as demonstration projects or broad-based campaigns, or conceived as research studies that may be taken to scale. Emphasis is placed on cultural contexts in which the project will be delivered. Members of the priority populations are engaged to inform linguistic appropriateness, project design and evaluation.
Needs & Assets Assessments
A variety of methods are used to assess needs and assets. These include literature searches and interviews with stakeholders, gatekeepers and members of target audience. Successful programs depend on accurate assessments to ensure responsive programs and systems change.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if good intentions really “were enough”? Despite the passionate commitment, brilliant creativity, or excessive time devoted to a cause, many projects are designed to influence other people to change their thinking and/or behaviors. Sometimes, these programs and messages simply do not connect with the target population, and they prove to be less effective than hoped for. Research is the vehicle that helps us to better understand why that connection is not strong and how to improve it.
EverGreene takes a variety of culturally competent methodological and analytical approaches to best fit your need and budget. Approaches include textual and historical research. Our qualitative research includes telephone and face-to-face interviews, open-ended questions, focus groups and ethnography. Quantitative methods include design and implementation of surveys for data collection.
EverGreene partners with other researchers as needed in order to expand methodological and analytical options.
EverGreene integrates skills used in marketing and program development to develop appealing, accessible and valued educational materials for your target audience. We begin with a development plan that identifies needs, goals and objectives, audience and anticipated outcomes. We can also assist with concept testing. Materials produced can include such products as reports, poster presentations, newsletters, manuals, curricula, trainings and brochures.
